Our Story
It was in the 80's we began our journey at ambady estate. A 70 acre organic cardamom plantation situated in the heart of munnar. When we first came here it was just cardamom plantation with it's endless greenery. What made us fall in love with this place was its peaceful beauty—the misty mountains, fresh mountain air, colourful butterflies, and the gentle chirping of birds.
We knew this place was too special to change. So, we made a promise to protect it. We chose to grow our cardamom using natural and organic farming methods, just as nature intended. Even today, we continue natural farming to keep our land healthy and beautiful.
In 2006, we welcomed our first guest Dr. Triche and family to our boutique plantation resort. We protected the trees and preserved the natural beauty around us, so every guest could enjoy the same peaceful feeling that made us fall in love with this place.

At Ambady Estate, we have been following the locavore system, where we collect fresh vegetables and fruits from within the property according to the season, making it a true farm-to-table experience at our luxury resort in Munnar.
Even so, we acquire all other ingredients from within a 10 km radius so that we can serve fresh and delicious food to all our guests. On request, we can provide you with a cooking demonstration of our chef's specialty dishes and also prepare food that is truly local, making every meal a memorable experience at one of the best resorts in Munnar.
