BEST RESORT IN MUNNAR

Our short family vacation to Munnar was only made better by our stay at Ambady estate - a huge 120 acre cardamom growing land. It is quiet and away from the crowded town. The villas are wonderfully comfortable, have fast wifi and adequate amenities. The estate is large and great for trekking (watch out for those leeches) though the elderly might find it a bit daunting. The staff are friendly and gracious. Special mention to Mr Shyam - the on-site manager who was easy to contact and explained the cardamom drying process with great interest. The food, although limited in options, was quite tasty. As the property is a bit far from the town it may take some time to get to the usual attractions so start early. Also preferable to go with an SUV, as the road up to the estate from the main highway is steep and rocky - which maintains the rustic charm but ensures that a hatchback or sedan will bottom out. All-in-all though, a really great time in nature, a bird watchers paradise and great service. 4.5/5.

First time I visited munnar was quiet some time back,we were supposed to reach by afternoon but due to some reasons we reached a bit late and as soon as we reached there we were greeted by a garland and we were given a warm lovely drink, afterwards we were cordially led to our room,it was lovely to sit outside and have a warm coffee,agreed there were not indoor activities there,but had more than adequate outdoor activities like trekking and getting to know nature the way it actually was and a quiet getaway from a busy city life, and be a part of nature,the food there was exceptional and the staffs behaviour was really courteous and nice.The experience all in all was phenomenal, due to our great experience there we visited once more in ambady estate and even gifted our cousin with a honeymoon package which they really enjoyed a lot.I wish ambady estate ,the management and staff all the best and kudos to the whole team keep it up.

We stayed for 3 nights at Ambady in early February and had a lovely relaxing stay here. It was our base for exploring Munnar and the surrounding area, but we also managed to get some relaxation on the estate and by the new pool.The staff here were incredibly friendly, super helpful, and just couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent and good value, and breakfast was so much we skipped lunch for a couple of days.The rooms were so spacious, with an outdoor patio area tha looked over the pool and surrounding hills and forest. We were treated to a lovely wee walk up into the forest and cardamom plantation area......so peaceful and calming.Ambady was great value, with super staff and I would happily recommend staying here.

This is a little bit of paradise on earth! Nestled within a cardamom farm (yes, you can get a tour!) in the mountains, you’ll find yourself in a lovely little cottage — not an ordinary hotel room! This is a lovely lodge — great food, impeccable service, and beautiful rooms. For me the standout was the wonderful staff who did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. I hope to return again some day. A marvelous experience!

A peaceful retreat amidst nature – with the kindest hospitality! We recently stayed at this charming property in Munnar with our pet cat, and it turned out to be one of the most heartwarming travel experiences we've had!The property is nestled in the middle of lush greenery, offering the kind of peace and calm that city folks like us crave. Waking up to the sound of birds, surrounded by nature, with our furry companion by our side, it was a surreal experience.What made the stay truly special, however, was the care and thoughtfulness of the team. The food was decent and homely, but it was the service that stood out. When I unexpectedly needed medication late at night, the staff went above and beyond to get it for us, something I’ll never forget.A special shoutout to Mr. Shyam Sundar, who not only ensured we had a smooth stay but also went the extra mile by couriering back my camera AC cable, which I had completely forgotten at the property. His kindness and effort really touched me. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality.If you're looking for a quiet, pet-friendly escape with a warm team that truly cares, this place should definitely be on your list. Stopover in MunnarAmbady Estates is a pleasant little establishment with super helpful staff. The rooms are large with decent amenities though they some bits could be updated. The swimming pool, the viewing point and the dining room are fantastic though we didn’t use the swimming pool because of the rain. The staff from Mr Shyam, the manager, to Mr Rajendra, who always went out of his way were fantastic. We ate at the dining room for breakfast and dinner - the food was well prepared and extremely delicious.

A Unique and Lovely Place to StayWe stayed here for 3 nights. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The grounds are beautiful especially when lit up at night. The estate contains cardamom and coffee. This is still dried in the traditional way . Shyam showed us how and where the cardamoms were dried, and he was very helpful in suggesting places to visit. A very unique and friendly place to stay to visit Munnar and the tea estates
